We have over 2000 pictures including those of the Brookside Gardens' Wing of Fancy Live Butterfly Exhibit and the delightful doll house size replica of Mount Vernon Estate's manison home.

Are you traveling in a large camper and want to know how tight the parking is? Are you like my husband and drive a beloved car that you prefer to park away from others? Our photos of the location will show you the road into the parking area, a general view of the parking area along with comments. Plus how easy is it to leave, get back into traffic. Do you immediately have to merge or dash across high speed traffic? Remember, this is the DC area with a huge traffic volume.

Do you have other wheels to be concerned about? Does the attraction feature overhead walkways? Is there an elevator to help you get a baby stroller or wheelchair up to that overhead birds-eye view, or does the attraction have a continuous walkway from ground floor to the top?

Do you have a painful knee like me? Are seats offered for a break, refreshments available?

Are outside areas provided for letting the kids romp? What is the footing? Are picnic areas offered? How far a drive to fast foods? Grocery stores nearby? Pharmacies? How about when you are from out of town and get caught in a change of weather -- is a clothing mall nearby?

  • Use "Zoom in" to find the Udvar Hazy Air Space Museum Air and Space Museum Parkway leading into the Museum's parking lot. Of neat interest on this Parkway, you will find yourself right under a flight path for Dulles Airport.

  • Use "Zoom In" to follow the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. Look for the Washington and Old Dominion multi-use trail balloons.

Did you happen to bring a horse with you, hanker for a bike ride through the woods or need to stretch your legs? How about the rural 184 mile  Chesapeake and Ohio canal that parallels the Potomac river? Another great trail is the 45 miles of a former rail roadway which is now the Washington and Old Dominion recreational trail.
