Frying Pan Park Equine Facilities

Frying Pan Park is located in Fairfax County, Virginia on West Ox Road in Herndon, Virginia.
Operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority, Frying Pan Park has 107-acres and presents a 1930 operating farm, community center, country store, farmer's market and miles of walking trails. Admission and parking are free.
Frying Pan Park equine facilities offer an indoor activity center, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, and an equestrian trail. Although Frying Pan Park does not rent horses or provide lessons, the arenas are available for local equestrians and riding instructors to use. Check out Frying Pan's web page

Frying Pan has several outdoor fenced in arenas plus the indoor arena (shown at upper right of photo and in the below photo).

The barn area has a few picnic tables.
| There is a shady wooded picnic area near another of the outdoor arenas.
You can just see the judges booth and fencing of the outdoor ring in the green tree line at the middle section of the photo below.

Leaving the barn and parking areas we went into woods. As we travelled the treed pathway I sat back in the tractor pulled wagon enjoying the views of the well developed cross country jump course. I have featured a few of the jumps below like this grouping of neat rolled back and bench jumps.

It was very relaxing and beautiful driving along the shady trail. Below you can see a set of log jumps on a rise to the right.
Please remember families walking, biking, horse back riding, and the tractor pulled tour wagons are all sharing the same trail and need to ensure safety first when approaching and passing each other.
