Headed towards the cider barn and farm animals I stopped at the garden to enjoy the rambling roses and walked further on
to view a planting of irises.

Cider Barn and Press

Behind the cider press barn is an animal barn and classroom. There I found snoozing baby pigs and Carolina (dairy goat) waiting to be milk but more than happy to enjoy a good scratch behind her ears by a park employee while they waited for the farm hand to arrive. I did not get a photo, but the farm draft horses are stabled in this area when not in their nearby field.

Headed back outside I joined a tractor pulled wagon tour ($4.00) around the farm.
Mary D. (park employee), an informative and easy person to talk with, was at the wheel of the tractor.
Leaving the barn area she drove us through the horse show areas and out to the shady bridle path.

Coming out of the fields we drove passed the Visitor Center and headed into the farm
building area again by approaching the farm equipment display sheds then the fenced in peacocks, goats and chickens.
